Who We Be
Philly Poetic Resistance was founded by Laurie P. in April 2017. We are based in the greater Philadelphia area. We are a poetry sharing group. We are not a workshop or critique group. Currently, Laurie P., Susan K., and Shanda are the organizers for the monthly and special events.
What We Do
Philly Poetic Resistance meets virtually each month to share our own poetry or another poet's work that we like. Each month we have a theme that we write to. Adhering to the month's theme is completely optional. We will have in-person events, periodically. Check out website for updates!
We Look Forward to Meeting You
Philly Poetic Resistance events are poetry-focused and meant to foster an environment of inclusivity and mutual respect. Anyone can be asked to leave at the discretion of the organizers.
